Restaurant A Mandria di Pigna
|

Nestled within a natural bowl surrounded by hills and distant mountains sit's the village of Pigna, an ancient village of historically cultural importance. The first building you will see on the right hand side as you approach the village is the newly established A Mandria restaurant run by a Corsican-French couple resident to the village.
The cuisine is of the highest quality, locally grown vegetables (most of which are grown in A Mandria's own garden) are prepared fresh & daily by resident and popular local cook ‘Françoise' who prepares and cooks traditional Corsican dishes both for lunch and evening dinner, a selection of meats, salads and of course the traditional ‘dish of the day' with deserts prepared and presented by the wife of the proprietor ‘Isa'. The proprietor ‘Loic' understands and speaks English to help make your visit to A Mandria comfortable and relaxing. Menus are both in French and English.
A small bar is located inside the restaurant where you can order an ice cold Corsican brewed beer and browse the selection of fine wines & spirits. An ice cream parlour and a huge variety of fruit juices are available for the kids. There is both a covered and non covered terrace for your comfort.
In A Mandria's garden you will be able to partake in a game or two of ‘pétanque' or just simply sit back and enjoy the view, the warmth and the goings on at the local village square which is just 50 meters from the restaurant. |
